    Hmmm. Worrying.

Iran looking like a test zone for Chinese warfare equipment.
Guessing that it's going to come up as high quality. Unlike Russian equipment in the invasion of Ukraine.

(Gaza looks like test zone for insurgence control, and population control, equipment.)

"Frequency of bot posts" - ideally something that could be swapped over to "User selected frequency of receiving posts by a bot".

For me, if I checked my notifications after 2 days away from Mastodon and found 48 posts by a bot I'd unFollow.

But really I have no idea where a sweet spot might be found.

Anyone got the geeks to set up a bot that posts the names of 10 of the companies once every 12 hours?

    1. Welcome. Great software. Hope you get what you're after here.

    2. You are displaying such savvy use of social media that it would be best if you were Donald Trump's social media advisor.
(The linked twitter post has been deleted. And the anti-savvy of posting a link on Mastodon to your Nazi-bar twitter post is awesome. In a bad way. Less cool than posting a dick pic in your intro.)

Edit: Following as I love libreoffice. And I love seeing trainwrecks in which no one is harmed.

There is research showing that a lot of screen time is correlated with changes in the brain. (below)
And forcing children to limit their interactions with, and explorations of, the world they live in to communications on a computer is a very restrictive, authoritarian social act.

Maybe future research will clear "screens" of being involved in loss of literacy. But I'm not seeing any sound basis for certainty on that

That looks like a list of important factors.
It's a long list. I'm wanting to check whether AI was involved in gathering the elements of the list and if so whether you went and verified the existence of each one and that it was accurately summarized by the AI, or if you gathered all them without the assistance of AI.

I'm not seeing anything that requires "laptops and tablets" to have the same effect as "squirrels".

I get that there are a lot of possible and probable contributors.

Maybe I'm misreading your posts but it seems that you're confident that "laptops and tablets" and "the screen" more generally are not significant contributors.

"Fortune reported in 2017 that Maine’s public school test scores had not improved in the 15 years the state had implemented its technology initiative."

Test scores not improving in Maine for 15 years prior to 2017 is hard to attribute to the neuro-disruptive effects of COVID-19.

Which former Presidents let the Epstein documents remain hidden?

The complicity of the Democrats in Trump's election wins includes AIUI both Obama and Biden sitting on the Jeffrey Epstein documents, and so allowing Trump to remain electable.
They deliberately kept American voters in the dark.

    I'm disappointed.

There is nothing "vague" about workers being provided adequate conditions, conditions that don't result in significant harms.

It's your thread so I'll leave.

"Wikipedia has •numerous• problems, but it belongs in education."

You've presented the great benefits that Wikipedia (type projects) can bring very well.

Do you agree that for something to be suitable for use in education there needs to be reasonable confidence that it is being produced ethically?

Confidence that the workers are being provided adequate conditions, that conditions aren't harming significant numbers of workers?

If yes then please point me at authorative sources.

A yearly average over the 4 year cycle, and the peak Presidential election year's amount

Wondering if increased personal Posts would flow from having two Reply button.

ReplyA would be for on-topic Replies.
ReplyB would be for tangential, parallel or vaguely associated Replies.

Seeing now with this idea written down that any increased contributions would come from Repliers who are currently self-censoring tangential & associated Replies.

I don't know how much of this sort of self-censoring happens.
