Blister packs are nice because it's easy to count how many have been taken, and they are tamper-proof.

@clacke I have "my doctor" in the sense that I'm registered with a practice. I've never so much as spoken with them, though.

@clacke @sun I've also wondered if American drugs really come in orange plastic bottles rather than blister packs like everywhere else.

@clacke Another thing I've noticed is Americans casually talking about "where they get their meds" or similar. If you're not taking at least two or three prescription drugs, you're not seen as normal.

Now as shocking as this might be, it is quite tame compared to the boost C++ library.

@Jestbill @futurebird I suspect a lot of books would have been better if produced in collaboration with someone who was good at writing though perhaps lacking knowledge of certain subject matter. Too many books, especially sci-fi, have a compelling setting and story but are irritating to read due to clumsy writing.

@cwebber Because laptops don't usually let you install RAM at all beyond what they are manufactured with, let alone lots of it. Repairing is also mostly out of the question. A notable exception on both counts is the Framework laptops, at least on paper. Maybe one of them fits your needs.

@rallias @cwebber It is obviously possible to only buy the rare laptops that can be upgraded, and you've obviously done that. Stop pretending your choices are representative of the market at large.

Also, 64 GB isn't exactly a lot these days.
