#AskFedi which USB flash drives do you trust?

I require: >=50 megabytes per second read and write, 32 gigabytes minimum capacity, probably 10 total drive write lifespan minimum.

I was using Patriot Rage Lite which were reasonable, but I seem to have hit a weird failure mode with one of them.

I know about iodd and USB to NVMe, I am asking about giving money to a probably terrible store and receiving a USB flash drive for my money.

@nafmo huh! What is the transport format for 3? 30 seconds or so should do it, I am interested in how closed captions are encoded and in differences from the TS captured from DVB-T in Australia (which uses teletext subtitles)

I have a literal bucket of USB cables, up to and including #USBC cables.

Does anyone in Australia need cables? I'll go you halves on postage at least. I would rather these go to someone who can use them rather than landfill.

It is the end of 2024. #IPv6 should be turned on, it should be the default in most networked software and your (residential) ISP should be giving you a static /48.

Browsers should save the alt text when you save an image. Operating systems should let you search your saved images via alt text.

networkctl 252 is too old to have *checks notes* any useful debugging commands

files in /etc/systemd/network don't seem to be taking effect but I don't know how to actually see what's being loaded.
