no, you're just seeing the mask slipping. if you pay attention to how Democrats have behaved at least since the 1960s, this should be no surprise.

Genocide Joe didn't decide to support Israel just in recent history, he has been one of the architects of Palestinian genocide for decades.

the narrative that the Democrats are the Good Guys and Republicans are Bad Guys doesn't make a lot of sense when compared to reality. they're not good guys/ bad guys, they're good cop/bad cop, united in maintaining white supremacy. this vote was extremely exemplary of this fact. not a single white person voted for a ceasefire to a racist mass murder.

is genocide "too intense" for you to talk about, but you've never faced such violence in your life?

if you haven't experienced trying to white knuckle your way through being bombed for existing, you don't know what Palestinians are experiencing. your experience is not comparable.

if you think that being armed and trained so you can defend people from fascism in an organised way, is the same as fascists going on a mission of carnage, you are part of the problem.

there is a very large difference between using violence to break a monopoly on violence, and using violence to become part of the monopoly on violence.

if you refuse to understand the difference between using violence to destroy a violent power structure, and using violence to be a part of that power structure, you are helping the violent power structure.

@indigenous_commentator if workers had struck harder ten years ago, maybe we'd have $50/hr instead of still fighting for $15 when the minimum now needs to be double that, because social democrats decided street protests are how this is accomplished, completely ignoring history as usual.
