Please let me know if anyone knows any temporary housing or support in NYC for a trans woman who has just been outed to her family. She currently doesn’t have a safe place to go right now. She does amazing CSS stuff. She has unfortunately aged out of a lot of trans youth programs.

People make fun of the “what happens in the booth stays in the booth” election ads, but I know poll workers who have had to keep husbands out of their wive’s voting booths because they had to “make sure she votes right”. When I was phone banking I also talked with a woman who’s husband or boyfriend was clearly around and it almost definitely changed the nature of the call. Voter intimidation by men is a real problem and I’m glad these ads address it.
