Yes, we do try to respect the Creative Commons licenses - it's a great thing.

And statistically, studies have revealed that we also do our very best to respect the wishes of publishers who rebuke and refuse to allow their works in a distribution channel where items are DRM encoded.

People should have more faith in the intentions of folks trying to do good, methinks :)

It actually stands to reason; people often find after they publish a poll that they could have worded a question or option better, then try, then discover that the meaning of the question or option now takes on a new defining intent - that's unacceptable manipulation, whether intentional or not.

When you start a DM, #Mitra won't let you add/remove addressees; last time I checked, mastodon will - it shouldn't that's a potential breech of privacy & security.

We're all still experiencing this problem when trying to create or login to new accounts and the issue is about six months old in the bug tracker here:

A few of us have tried with the past several versions and I'm currently running the latest (version 3.24.0).

For starters 'Fedi.Tips', I don't do #hellthreads, but just going by the timbre of your post I'm responding to here, I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised.

I rarely boost anything of yours coz it usually sounds like you're a masto cheerleader instead of a Fediverse advocate - no offense, just my personal observation.

Second - it's exactly what Eugen wanted for his "Brand", and he's caused enormous damage by creating a deprecated, legacy monolithic silo.

Rashmi, there's s couple of things going on here.

First, the so-called "great #TwitterMigration" frenzy has subsided. #Fediverse growth continues organically now and stats show a majority of #twitugees have returned to from whence they came.

Second, many are just now realizing that mastodon is just one among many Fediverse platforms, and sorely lacking in features, so a lot of folks are moving to other kinds of Fediverse servers.

Be patient & scale back ?
