     Okay the pic above in this thread was posted on a masto server, and boosted here by me. I can see no way to reveal the alt-text from here on my Mitra account.

     Normally, a hovering the pointer momentarily with a mouse-over will bring up the alt-txt (mastodon and forks).

     Alternatively one may need to click on the photo which brings it into focus, and then one can do a mouse-over (pleroma and forks).

     Friendica, Misskey, Takahe, Hubzilla, Pixelfed, and others have their own similar or same methods to reveal the alt-txt.

     I thought I'd just take a moment to say hi to everyone - 2024 is off to a wonderful start 🤘 💀 🤘

     Not that 2023 wasn't totally, awesomely kewl either, but it is in the rear view mirror now, and we're looking down the road before us with optimism and glee!
