#Today I am feeling quite down about how most folks have thrown those like me to the wolves wrt Covid.

As I sit in my house and hear about ppl going out again and again to indoor restaurants, concerts, karaoke, parties, etc... I feel so very alone.

Even people I care(d) about see me as expendable when held up against living like it's 2019.

Just.

Heartbroken.

#Today woke up with that lovely anxiety/dread feeling out of nowhere which is SO MUCH FUN (not).

Trying to take a slow morning, as yesterday was just fucked start to finish, before I dive into frog making.

@Mrfunkedude A while ago I made a little commitment to myself. When I go to bed I turn on only the fairy lights (and sometimes candles), put on some lofi music, put the phone away and read a book for 15-30 minutes.

It helps me disconnect with the world and just slow down before sleeping. 10/10 recommend.

@Mrfunkedude My number 1 requirement when I was looking for a house (after falling within budget) was no HOA. Not subjecting myself to bored ppl with power any more than I have to.

Spent some more time this afternoon on watercolors. Definitely areas where my technique needs a lot of work (esp dropping in colors onto wet paint for depth).

But I'm having fun and that's the part that matters.

#Today I am enjoying the winter wonderland outside (we got our snow!) from the cozy inside of my house with slippers and a latte.

Some video gaming and painting later methinks... and perhaps I'll finish the cape for Vlad.

#Today is a day off, and a needed one.

Might do a hair mask, and for sure going to play a lot of Atelier Sophie.

Probably should consider cleaning my kitchen at some point also... maybe.

* Use filters and mute people freely. You don't owe ANYONE space in your head, no matter how righteous or good the cause.

* Use pinned columns for hashtags but don't follow them, so you can decide when to look at that column and it's not in your main feed.

* Report someone who's being a troll/breaking rules, and then block them. Don't engage. Let mods handle it.

@Mrfunkedude When I first taught my mother how to text she couldn't find the spacebar. So all of her texts were word mashes like that.

Doing the "If I move my phone to these other companies, this is what I can get" dance with my phone company right now.

I like to think it works to meet the needs of both groups of people. It's also why I tend to group all my hashtags at the end of a post. So they don't have to listen to "hashtag this, hashtag that" while they're trying to read the post. If they don't care about hashtags, they can skip, and not miss anything from the content.

I've learned a LOT just by "listening" to conversations about accessibility on here!

Actually Darth asked folks that a while back. From what I gathered from the conversation... it's very mixed. Some folks want colors mentioned, some don't care. Some want super basic, some like expansive.

That's why I start with a basic line, then get a bit more descriptive (not usually 2 paragraphs, lmao). So the person can skip to the next thing if they don't care to hear more.

I try to do like, one line telling the most important thing in the photo. And then expand on, idk what makes the image unique or interesting.

Thinking about how I would describe it to someone to paint if time was limited. Start with the basics, expand a bit for interest.

#Today I'm gonna attempt to make vegan blue cheese.

I've really missed a good charcuterie board ever since my dairy allergy Dx. And to me a blue cheese is the pièce de résistance of a charcuterie board.

Also the boring adult life things of cleaning the kitchen and maybe doing some laundry.
