I'm not saying that we should murder everyone involved with this project, that would be illegal. What I *am* saying is that #Atlanta and the world would be a much better place if someone did do that.

TL;DR we're testing a bunch of rich shit's private 'whites and "one of the good ones"'-only (we all know that's the point, don't pretend like it's not rich people going to the convention center) pod-busses instead of just building fucking public bus lanes and light rail. 😠

@ascentale we should turn this into a #BikeNitePQ: "Have you ever run into trouble on your bike and had a stranger help you out, or have you have helped a stranger who was having bike problems themself?" Or something along those lines?

@ascentale @jfparis A4. my only real cycling goal is to start a bike shop. So far it's not going great, but it's early days. I've had 3 or 4 customers so far (mostly people I know from the fediverse or the local mountain bike park), so that's nice at least!

I'm really struggling to find a way to market it outside of people I already know though.

The Jonquils and Carolina Jesamin are starting to peek out this morning, that makes it officially Spring in #Atlanta, I think! Yellow is everywhere!

Spring update: now this thing in my yard is blooming! I should really figure out what it is, they're all over #Atlanta and I never know.

And this bush, and that tree, and a few remaining Jonquils!

And, of course, my favorite: the dogwoods are blooming!

Spring Update 5: the black cherry is blooming, and for the first year ever my Pawpaw tree has a bloom!

Spring Update 6: Azalea time! Sadly the previous owner of my place planted non-natives, but I'd really like to get some native Flame Azalea one day. The rest if the neighborhoods bloomed weeks ago, but mine are very shaded.

Updated picture now that they're fully in bloom!

A second spring update today! I planted this vine a few years ago but it has never done well unlike the Carolina Jesamin on the rest of the fence. I thought it was just dying, but now it's flowering and shooting off new growth!

These have been blooming for a while, but I never posted a picture so here's another spring update!

@CloudyMrs I've had good luck using toe straps or hook&loop to fix the other crank arm to the chain stays so that I can get my full weight on the pedal wrench without having to hold the other crank in place.

Can you spot the difference? Yes, the day is finally here (well, technically it's not yet, the electrician is coming out to do the interconnect with Georgia Power tomorrow)! I'm so excited that GeorgiaBright (free loans for solar installs if you're below a certain income threshold so you don't have any upfront payment) made this possible for me, I never thought I'd be able to do it!

@ntnsndr I was out for a bike ride earlier today and I got a bit lost. I asked a woman riding by where the trail I was looking for was and she said she was going the same way and would show me. As we rode along she was apologizing for going slow crossing intersections and told me about a crash she was in where a driver turned right and hit her in the cross walk, so I shared some stories too. It was very short, but the comradery and shared understanding of motonormitivity was very nice.

The bike shop I work at just got back to me to tell me that they are going ahead with their policy of installing cameras in the shop to monitor employees. They say these are not used to track productivity, but the CEO is a union busting ex-Amazon exec and he has given himself that power, so that's enough for me. My last day will be mid-May and I am now properly desperate to find a new job before I lose my house. Leads in the bike or software industry welcome in or around #Atlanta.
