You ever have very small but meaningful moments when you realize you really have to navigate this world by yourself, all alone?
Because I’m sitting here in the Costco parking lot with a sore knee trying to move large amounts of water by myself for the first time in years…. and I’m having a moment.
Send hugs.
Whew. I didn’t think anyone would care about UMAW. I turned off my phone to manage negotiations, come back, and you guys are out here being HYPER supportive, AGAIN.
Overwhelming.
Thank you. :blobaww:

Northern Exposure theme song. A folkish rock bop.
Name a television theme song that is better than 1984 Night Court. I will patiently wait.
•Taxi does not count. That was a bop when Bob James originally dropped it.
Here is the full video of YouTube Music workers moving to unionize and protect their work, and YouTube literally firing them in real time.
This is why the musicians, and people who work in music, are Unionizing.
Taylor would then deliberately misquote statements, or only use LITERALLY 2 to 5 words from their 30 to 45 minute conversation, then write a whole article AROUND *HER* thoughts on their conversation, and then leave their names out of the article completely, citing “anonymity.” This is a lie.
In its heyday, before it was invaded by frauds like Taylor, I ran large, successful music spaces on clubhouse that focused on informing musicians and artists on best business to get their music heard. +
This woman became well-known and was called out several times for invading popular spaces, rooms and threads that have nothing to do with her, leeching content from talented people, and asking people if they want to be interviewed for NYT. Misleading them on what her intentions were.
She would specifically target and talk with OTHER clout chasing individuals who would give her background and context on things she clearly didn’t know, then promise them nice write ups with their names attached. +
I flat out declined, since at that point, over 20+ people had been misquoted by her, AND…. just the week before, there was a room of 700+ people who confronted this woman on her behavior. She was delusional the whole time, saying “these misquotes are a misunderstanding.”
I also told her that was the exact reason for the decline. “I was in that room. I am sorry, but I do not trust that you will represent our conversation in a proper way.” The fake white girl niceness immediately disappeared. +
I contacted her after and let her know very frankly that I am not here to pack the stage with people with huge numbers, and I’m not for clout chasing in my spaces. I told her you have to be a musician or in the music business with credentials I could verify to sit with us.
She politely apologized and then asked me if I wanted to sit with her for an in-depth interview as one of the most popular users on Clubhouse (at its peak, I was rounding 65k follows. Most were probably bots, however).
One day, she invaded my space, and IMMEDIATELY attempted to colonize it. She sent me a DM that said “Hey. I’m Taylor. I don’t know anything about music but you should let me up on your stage. I can bring your room more attention.” This, by itself, was completely narcissistic and clear red flag scammers on clubhouse.
I ignored the dm, and did not allow her up. If you were not certified in the music industry, you could not sit with us. This was done to protect musicians from fakes and frauds. +
Once we were all settled, this goddess of a woman calls up NYT directly, and because of her status in the industry, was IMMEDIATELY connected to Taylor’s supervisor/head editor. I mean POWERFUL moves I could never make (at least not yet).
We then proceed to have a HOUR LONG conversation exposing Taylor Lorenz as the absolute sociopath she is, focusing on her misquote of the goddess, and including recorded rooms from clubhouse exposing her bad actor behavior, and general narcissistic delusions.
I told her that’s what she’s known for doing. So, head of Warner Creative invites me to meet her at Soho warehouse the next day, and told me to bring the recorded receipts of the Clubhouse room exposing Taylor as a sociopath to lunch. I can see my girls vision AHEAD of time, so I came with everything I could find.
When I got there… I see my girl sitting there, in full professional mode, VERY angry…. with her LAWYER sitting right next to her. This is when I knew SHIT WAS ABOUT TO GO DOWN. 🤣
She then INTENTIONALLY AND DELIBERATELY targeted an associate who used to host the rooms with me for an interview, who was NOT aware of their behavior. They agreed, and within 2 weeks, came to me with the complaint everyone had: “This wench stole my entire convo, repositioned and presented it as her own ‘discovery,’ AND then spelled her name wrong. Probably on purpose.”
What Taylor didn’t know, is that the woman in question was the head of Warner Music Creative… & had time to handle that bitch.
So, the lawyer and I sit and causally watch her social platforms, waiting for what we knew was coming. And sure enough… 72 hours later, Taylor had removed the NYT connection from her bio, and unpinned her NYT byline from her Twitter page.
We know what that means. We got that bitch not just fired, but WIPED from her “internet reporter” job at the paper. City Girls ARE UP BY 10,000 (hip hop colloquialism).
We aren’t the only ones who noticed the changes. Within a few days people start asking…
