One of the hardest things I face daily is being in an industry that thrives on Black talent, but refuses to let Black people into executive spaces. Or immediately runs them off after hiring them.
No matter how (over)qualified. Or the 8 instruments you play. Or the 4 academic awards you’ve won in the last 2 years. Or the 3.7. White racism refusing valid talent, leading to the stale culture of #music you see now.
I shoulda just stuck to coding.
