@CapitalB ich hatte bis jetzt nie probleme mit chinesen oder iranern, auch nicht als ich an einer hochschule war (im gegensatz zu meinem einen versuch mit linken spinnern zu reden, da wurd mir sofort über den mund gefahren).

wenn das alles so geheim ist, darf es nicht an einer hochschule betrieben werden. relativ simpel.

in den usa gehts ja eher darum keine leute mehr zu wollen die dingen wie redefreiheit ablehnend gegenüber stehen oder das visum als fuß in der tür des sozialsystems sehen.

das machen chinesen und iraner in der regel nicht. die zahlen die kohle und benehmen sich.

@p @dcc @Inginsub @phnt @Suiseiseki yeah, i have used acme for a while, i really like the way the mouse is used and the plumber etc. unfortunately the whole acme idea works best on a real plan 9, not on unix. at least for me there's too much friction between the parts.

@AndrewFork watched a bunch of music videos from the 70s this evening. pretty comfy compared to almost everything from 2000 onwards, which is either sinister or degenerate (and i'm applying this label very cautious, i have a pretty high tolerance for weird shit).

@xianc78 many euros (leftists especially of course) can't even imagine the mindset. i think one really has to be born in the US to really fathom the spirit? i only can imagine it myself as well, it is different but hard to grasp. starts with free speech that never has arrived in many parts of europe. i think sweden has the biggest free speech tradition, after GB completely killed it off.

voting doesn't work over here as well and the people seem to like it that way. they long for being oppressed.

i just use a window manager like i did for about 20 years, does everything i want and doesn't get in the way. kde is nice for family who just want to do light office stuff, it usually works fine - better than windows and i can actually fix stuff.
