Like, you don't see anything for about a tenth of a second every 2-10 seconds (on average), and because of the way our brains process stimuli, unless you make a conscious effort you don't even notice it

Also I've noticed a pattern of not caring about [latest indie game craze] and then a few months to a couple of years later once the hype died down I'm like "wait this actually maybe looks cool???"

@hellomiakoda Most websites I tried to add have the cutoff thing, but I wouldn't contact them cause they'd probably just tell me to fuck off and use the website so they can make money from ads

@hellomiakoda I mean, I've tried using RSS before, and it worked for a bit, but every reader app I've tried has had Issues and then I went away for a while and forgot I even had it installed lmao

The best one I used was the Gnome one, but I'm on KDE now and the Gnome one looks out of place 😔

Also some of the websites I wanted to use just didn't have RSS feeds at all so I kinda just abandoned the whole idea

Akregator kept giving me an "Akregator did not close correctly" message every time I launched it and it didn't store the state of anything so everything just showed up as unread no matter what 💀

@hellomiakoda eh I don't use RSS readers (too much ADHD to not just forget they exist after about a week) and I don't wanna look at their stuff anymore since they're fucking assholes so fuck them

I've used PS/2 keyboards when I was a kid, but never thought to unplug one mid-use, and by the time we got the family PC upgrades we switched to USB so I haven't been able to test this since like 2004 lol

I've never seen any of these consoles in real life and it's wild to see someone talk about the next generation when these feel like not only have barely come out (nobody can afford them and I've never seen them 🤷♀️) and there's been basically no visual improvement in games in over a decade, which isn't a bad thing in a vacuum but it's bad because system requirements keep increasing for no reason other than pure corporate greed at this point
