On #iOS, for anyone unaware of it, there is a setting you have to turn on to encrypt #iCloud. This should be on by default imo.

@maegul @christianselig Reddit has been a valuable resource historically imo but it’s that way because of the user contributed content not the platform itself.

This is why it sucks these resources are centralized. If we all use Lemmy or another FOSS Reddit-like backend we can stop this BS that’s happening with Reddit pricing out the app ecosystem.

However foggy and air tight they try and make the glass, being able to interact w/ the FOSS decentralized world would be a good for those trapped users, and us imo

They *can’t* swallow up this universe. Much like space and unlike the earth, there is infinite room for everyone here and the ability for us to block, mute, and more to protect ourselves
