I just installed @murena's #deGoogled :android: #Android /e/OS on a #Pixel5 with their free #EasyInstaller app and God has this become a simple task.

I mean *anybody* with basic computer skills and a compatible phone can get themselves a more #privacy-friendly Android with this. 💞

And before you reply Oh they're just stealing from #LineageOS and also use an outdated #Bromite and there is still connections with Google servers, etc:

Yes, but the OS ships with an auto-updating app store, a free email address plus @nextcloud account, and a fully functioning @microg. This is what non-techies need.

I just realise that the @Fairphone 4 has become the phone offering the most software freedom by far:

Right now you can run it with:

- Stock Android (would anyone want that?)
- @LineageOS
- @murena's /e/OS
- @calyxos
- @iode
- @divested's DivestOS
- Ubuntu Touch by @ubports

That's so totally awesome because it comes on top of near endless reparability of the #Fairphone's hardware itself.
