The folks at @globalwitness have done some amazing (and shocking!) analysis of content moderation on large platforms:

All those they looked at "except #Facebook and #Instagram, lack human content moderators in some of the EU languages."

And "neither #X nor #Snapchat have a single content moderator who can speak Estonian, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Lithuanian, Maltese, Slovak, Slovenian", and X also has "no moderators for Czech, Danish, Finnish, Romanian, or Swedish." 💥

"We submitted 48 ads [...containing] content prohibited by YouTube’s #elections #misinformation policies, including false information around the election" like "changes to the voting age, instructions to vote by text message, and incitement to prevent certain groups from voting."

I just installed @murena's #deGoogled :android: #Android /e/OS on a #Pixel5 with their free #EasyInstaller app and God has this become a simple task.

I mean *anybody* with basic computer skills and a compatible phone can get themselves a more #privacy-friendly Android with this. 💞

And before you reply Oh they're just stealing from #LineageOS and also use an outdated #Bromite and there is still connections with Google servers, etc:

Yes, but the OS ships with an auto-updating app store, a free email address plus @nextcloud account, and a fully functioning @microg. This is what non-techies need.

I just realise that the @Fairphone 4 has become the phone offering the most software freedom by far:

Right now you can run it with:

- Stock Android (would anyone want that?)
- @LineageOS
- @murena's /e/OS
- @calyxos
- @iode
- @divested's DivestOS
- Ubuntu Touch by @ubports

That's so totally awesome because it comes on top of near endless reparability of the #Fairphone's hardware itself.

The only thing I'm personally missing is a Fairphone Mini 🤫

Interesting how in #England, only very few patients actually use their opt-out right for secondary medical data use.

Reasons according to Nicola Hamilton on the #PrivacyCamp24 panel: People don't know about their right. And defaults matter.

A consent requirement for secondary use in the #EHDS would have been so much fairer. 🤷

Looking forward to a deep-dive discussion at #PrivacyCamp24 comparing #healthdata regimes in the #EU and #UK and how (and if at all) they protect #patients' rights.
