    I gave Edith a parmesan morsel before we quickly went to the hardware store instead of Dog Breakfast and there was a lot of confusion. I didn't want her logy and possibly poopsy in the electrical aisle. She's fed now that we're home and she's very relieved.

    I'm trying something Pavlovian for dinner and setting a timer for 4 p.m. with a unique tone on my phone. When it goes off I drop everything and sing along "DOG DINNER, DOG DINNER" and then we go get dinner. It seems to be reducing the begging that was starting 2+ hours before.

    Discussing home protection and safety with spinsters today has made me realized I'm mutuals with some based ass ladies. When I first got here I was afraid this was a cuddly space but between today and Hebe suggesting extreme consequences for perverts (recent memorable one [sic]: "he needs his willy slammed in a door") I'm pretty happy today

    @tangleofsnakes I don't understand why people who are unemployed try to date and then aren't up front about it. It's fine if you're looking and you have savings, but say so! Also if you're unemployed that's what you should be focused on. I would worry about someone's priorities going forward if they were like this. Just thinking out loud and being judgey, not advice 🤣

    I dabbled with trying to rip a hole through time for a while but some hobbies, like STDs, are temporary

    @GalacticTurtle I feel these things run in cycles! I remember in the 90s when a book called "The Rules" came out that was a lot like Female Dating Strategy. People were losing their shit over it being regressive but if women need a technique for holding the men they're dating accountable, it's better than going out in the world unarmed.

    The dating talk with my mother went like this:

    My mother: Why is your period late, I'm taking you for a pregnancy test
    Me: I think I'm gay? I've only slept with women?
    My mother: You'll grow out of it. Your father thought he was gay too. Just marry a man for money and you'll be fine.

I know she wasn't a kids' entertainer but the gap between "doing an ill advised act in an adult theatre" that the public didn't see to viral graphic sex video isn't very long in the scheme of things.
