@br00t4c Just after Mango Mussolini served some Quarter Pounders to people. Coincidence?

Badtux the Snarky Penguin (badtux@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 02-Feb-2024 06:39:40 JST Badtux the Snarky Penguin @HistoPol @JessTheUnstill @doppelgrau In short, your observations about the handicapped and public transit are totally divorced from the reality. Public transit is the most friendly form of transit for the handicapped, and that has been true for decades.

Badtux the Snarky Penguin (badtux@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 02-Feb-2024 06:39:38 JST Badtux the Snarky Penguin @HistoPol @JessTheUnstill @doppelgrau The fact that a third world nation has an unsafe mass transit system is of supreme disinterest to me. The fact that the United States lacks a functional mass transit system in 99% of its cities -- by functional, I mean any address no more than 2 blocks from a stop, and buses/trains run every 15 minutes -- makes life excruciatingly difficult for those who can't drive cars for whatever reason.

Badtux the Snarky Penguin (badtux@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 01-Feb-2024 15:45:58 JST Badtux the Snarky Penguin @darnell I have checked into Threads twice. Once I logged in, looked around, and logged out. The second time I logged in, accepted a friend request from a long-time friend, and logged out. Mastodon seems to work better for me, except for the problem that you can't do a news feed on Mastodon about a specific breaking news item because it has no global search function.

These believers even have an entire book where their invisible sky demon tortures one of its followers for no reason at all.

Badtux the Snarky Penguin (badtux@mastodon.social)'s status on Wednesday, 21-Jun-2023 17:57:55 JST Badtux the Snarky Penguin At the rural school district I last worked at, we had 1500 students, of whom 1,000 were free lunch and 500 were not. The cost of personnel (an entire department!), computers, and software for vetting students to make sure those 500 didn't get free lunch cost more than the cost of simply feeding them, already.
The GOP jihad about preventing those 500 from getting free lunch is not about taxes or expense, it's about being mean to children. #gop #antichild #school #lunch #meanness
