@mike Mint is one of my favourite alternatives when it comes to 'regular' operating systems that just works out of the box.

Mint is incredibly polished, both in terms of UI and UX. Cinnamon is one of the best DEs that I've seen. KDE is probably the only competitor here. Cinnamon is the only DE that I (as a tiling user) can stand.

It feels like they often get overlocked thanks to it's reputation as a 'beginner OS'. As a Gentoo user, I think they're one the more potent alternatives out there.

@whynothugo I know. I'm not aware of any clients that actually display them properly for them to make sense though.

I remember back when status messages was still a thing with certain instant messaging services like XMPP and MSN Messenger. I miss those days.

I regret installing PipeWire. It's a even more buggy mess than Pulseaudio was when it came out.

I just spent another 15 minutes trying to debug why my Bluetooth headphones wouldn't connect to my computer. I eventually remembered that I need to restart PipeWire for it to work, as it randomly just stops working.

I'm back with YAM Launcher. Both KISS Launcher and Lawnchair are great launchers, but I, personally speaking, find them too distracting no matter how I configure them.

YAM Launcher is available on F-Droid if anyone would like to try it out.

@killyourfm It's all local on your phone. As long as Bluetooth work, you're good to go. :)

I replaced Garmin Connect with Gadgetbridge. It seems to have all the essential features. I even have "smart notifications" on my watch.

An impulse purchase. I have been feeling discomfort in my hand a few times recently now when I'm forced to spend a lot of time in graphical applications.

It was 25% off on this vertical mouse from Logitech. It feels way better to use than a regular mouse. My only issue with it is the scroll wheel. It's barely tactical and at the same time really hard to press down.
