(Sorry, bad pic) yeah, funny my 70’s vintage Kenwood is just the same! I even got a fiber transducer a month ago to hook a different video input into it! Cost $9 and worked the first time.

Been an interesting month.
1. My physician decided that business was so bad in my county that they would do better and left the state. No physician for me.
2. Had a set of refills on my meds still pending but the office left at my former physician refuses to send to a pharmacy. So, I'm out of meds.
3. My Medicare plan decided to pull out of my county because Trump has axed all subsidies. I will be without a Medicare plan as of 1 JAN 26
4. No Medicare means no vision plan, dental plan, etc.

Want an idea of where the country is mentally?
I'm sitting in my local coffee shop sipping my brew and can't help hearing the next table. One guy is angrily telling a story (true? Who knows) about a Canadian with a green card getting disappeared by #ICE . Everybody is nodding and angry too. The backlash is coming folks. #maga has gone too far in the general public's eyes. I predict officer arrests and convictions.

Chalk my comments up to the operational concerns of someone who was personally responsible (by law) monetarily for security breachs of any magnitude. I’m aware that isn’t common diligence in popular contemporary technology. I’ve never experienced the use of a single tool that could manage security in and of itself. Wordfence looks helpful but that would be all it is if their PR is to be believed. Please accept my apologies for being cranky.

@mmeadway @jimcarroll@futurist.info @JimCarroll@jimcarroll.com @atomicpoet Having had to deal with security in a practical manner myself I find myself queasy when well meaning ‘experts’ advocate for spreading potential vulnerabilities via federated resources. My limited experiences with federated systems taught me that federations only work went secured systems are kept secure to those they link to. (Awkwardly wordy, huh?)
