@lessa @mastodonmigration @Teri_Kanefield alternatively, I (the .art admin) researched the claims, had native PTBR speaking people translate messages for me, had conversations with the ursal.zone admin in English, verified everything, got receipts and testimonies of abuse from other small PTBR instances that u.z harassed, and then was threatened with legal action by the admin if I went through with the block. I discussed it all openly on the Curator account at the time. But sure, you do you.

Here's the 'one last thing' I wanted to share, I've been holding on to them waiting for the OK from Esther as she's mentioned in the conversation. These are from the hachyderm channel in the Nivenly Discord, which is public. Kris asks in one of them that if they're shared, they're shared in full over the next two toots, and should be in order.

This was Esther going into the Discord to talk after StrangeObject.space had silenced Hachyderm and linked to .art's blog post about silencing.

Things to know: when Kris said things that were racist/classist on her Masto account, she was called on them. Conversations were had in the comments to these posts and she participated in them. She had a conversation with @maloki , and then mentioned Maloki in her apology post thanking her for helping her understand how what she said was wrong. As she participated in these convos and even made apology posts she was obviously aware that she had been called these things.

There's something I find very unsettling about the language used here too and the way Kris is talking to Esther. It's the kind of thing I'd expect to see in some kind of workplace training seminar about 'how to handle confrontation'; all the 'Great point!' and the stuff about 'going to bed with smiles on our faces'. Like if you had told me ChatGPT had written that I would not be surprised. It's weird and icky.

Also, entirely disingenuous.

@raineer Aye - I didn't have any links in that post initially because it's been stuff that's been going on for a while, and admins were kinda already aware of things that had happened, and lots of instances had already silenced or defederated, and it had come up multiple times in the fediblock hashtag so I was like 'everyone knows what this is about'

But then Kris was like 'people are calling me these things and I don't know why'
