   @welshpixie @BlakeL @ariadne Typically, I wouldn't have tagged this, but since this "news" was already tagged in this group earlier -- with certain people grandstanding about how awful defederation is -- I had to make a separate post about it.

   On another note, I may have to delete this group since certain parties may potentially be seeing this as a tool for abuse.

   Currently testing alternatives before I make that decision.

     @BlakeL @atomicpoet @ariadne yeah but we don't tag a news group 😂 our posts are mostly for the benefit of our users since not everyone notices announcements, they're not really a foghorn

     @ariadne@social.treehouse.systems @atomicpoet@mastodon.social Several instances put out messages like this about their blocks when they put them in place. mastodon.art is one I know of.
     It would be nice if it were done more.
