How can we turn "you are classist." into "do you understand that this is classist?" My read of both of the situations above is that we all are doing what we believe is best for our respective communities. | wouldn't ever want to stand in anyones way that are doing what they believe is best to protect their community. How can we (Nivenly and the various communities you represent @esther@strangeobject.space) replace accusations with questions? If you feel that | am racist and classist, what of my actions lead you to believe this and how could | demonstrate a change that would leave us all feeling warm and content? My read on the situation was that no matter what | said or did, | was going to be wrong. | won't be around in the Fediverse moving forward to see if accusations can be replaced with questions, however | hope everyone here deeply examines the context above for areas of improvement. None of us -- are perfect. | appologize deeply for taking the situation too lightly, and for making racists and classist comments. | ask you to remind yourself that | am not Hachyderm. @dma is not Hachyderm. Our mods are not Hachyderm. Our infrastructure volunteers are not Hachyderm. Additionally if you share any part of my diatribe here, my request is that you share it in full so others can infer context independently without any paraphrasing. Here's the 'one last thing' I wanted to share, I've been holding on to them waiting for the OK from Esther as she's mentioned in the conversation. These are from the hachyderm channel in the Nivenly Discord, which is public. Kris asks in one of them that if they're shared, they're shared in full over the next two toots, and should be in order.
This was Esther going into the Discord to talk after StrangeObject.space had silenced Hachyderm and linked to .art's blog post about silencing.
