2/ to be clear, I'm not attacking people that live in coastal areas. Just making an observation that things are getting worse and the middle class and poor in these areas are the ones going to hurt the most as they don't have the resources needs to protect themselves. Florida just allowed 600k insurance policies leave the 'insurance of last resort' & pushed them into the marketplace.

I actually have empathy for these people and dread the next decade of storms If the pattern sticks

Sorry, just saw this thread. When I get to the computer I'll take a peek around. I know I tried to upgrade pip earlier and ran into an issue, (nothing to do with fedifetcher). Was going to troubleshoot that later.

You might try

pip install --upgrade xxhash

And see what happen.

I just put a support ticket in. With other people having the issue from different ISPs, locations, etc, my gut is it isn't me.

I am getting though ok with VPN but even on mobile data on phone it is bogging down. I wonder if whatever is going on will affect other sites?

I looked around at some accounts and people there are tired of the replyguy spam accounts, also. There seems to be an issue right now with them.
