@skinnylatte makes me sad. It’s not “hard” to make good chai but requires having a solid reference point which most non-Indians don’t have. For me I prefer it leaning on cardamom and ginger with a single clove dropped in.

@skinnylatte reminds me of one of the traditional ingredients in feijoada, which is a beef that’s dried in the sun, but it also partially ferments as part of that process.
It is very much a fermented meat flavor.
