@feditips @ButterflyOfFire That's the exact same link. There are 4 arrays in it; only the first 3 arrays are included in the posting languages.

To speakers of underrepresented languages: If your language isn't available in Mastodon's posting window and you'd like me to add it, please let me know.
I will need:
1. Locale code https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes 2-letter ISO 639-1 codes are preferred, and if not available, we can use a 639-3 code instead
2. English name
3. Native nameIf your language is small, try not to be too granular re. dialect so that you will get more posts when filtering.
Boosts welcome.

@feditips @ButterflyOfFire The REGIONAL_LOCALE_NAMES array is not included in SUPPORTED_LOCALES 😉

@faizalr @feditips Quote boosting (MAS-48
Quote posts) is planned, but work on it hasn't started yet. See https://joinmastodon.org/gd/roadmapIn conversation from mastodon.scot permalink Attachments

@feditips @ButterflyOfFire I guess the easiest way to find the codes is to use the language selection in the posting box.

ISO_639_1 is 2-letter codes
ISO_639_3 is 3-letter codes for languages that aren't included in the ISO 639-1 standard
ISO_639_1_REGIONAL is 2-letter codes + country code - I added that for the Chinese languages that lack their ow language code and are all bunched under zh.

@feditips @ButterflyOfFire Mastodon does not define alternative codes, so 3-letter codes are only available for languages that don't have a 3-letter code.
The code lists are in https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/blob/main/app/helpers/languages_helper.rb
The codes listed in ISO_639_1, ISO_639_3 and ISO_639_1_REGIONAL are available as posting languages, the codes listed in REGIONAL_LOCALE_NAMES are not.

@ButterflyOfFire OK, that sounds like a bug to me - you should be able to search all languages that are available as a posting language.

@ButterflyOfFire OK, that's a bug in the description by @feditips because I just tested on my server and 3-letter codes are definitely working

@feditips @truhe And another bit I forgot: If your server has the full-test search feature installed, you can always search your own posts, even if you have opted out.
And only public posts will be indexed, so if you want to hide an individual post from the search feature but still publicly viewable, just set it to "Unlisted".

@truhe @feditips Instances might not have elasticsearch installed (that's the search backend), because it needs lots of resources. So, "prohibited" no, but "not available" is a possibility.
Whether you can search depends on whether the server you're on has the feature installed, and whether the profile you're searching (no matter which server it is on) has opted in.

@illumniscate That makes sense - we could change the notification texts for edited posts when the post contains a poll.
@feditips did you file an issue, or shall I?

@illumniscate @feditips Warning the voters won't work if you manipulate it 1 minute before the poll ends.

@feditips this is actually not a bug. When you edit a poll option or the post containing a poll, you can make people vote for the opposite of what they actually voted for.

@blogdiva @dangillmor Maybe one of these tools still work to delete your Tweets: https://earthweb.com/tweet-deleters/
Doing it manually is hard because you have to wait a few days in between sessions until they let you access older tweets

You could try a meta search engine like https://metager.org/which will give you different results. It also comes with the advantage of nor tracking you.

I just wrote a script to autoreport known spam accounts that will sign up on multiple instances with the same username. You can also use this script to autosuspend them.
Check the "autoreport.py" file for documentation.
