Supreme Judge Alexandre de Morais has garnered considerable unofficial influence over the entire state apparatus, in a way that it looks like a form of "Democratic Backsliding" in itself.
So for now we are probably as far removed from the head of the executive assuming unchecked power as we could be, but after this moment has passed, i don't know where we are heading.
It could be all Alexandre does is get people used to authoritarianism and as soon as he's gone, nobody is there to "defend the Republic" anymore.

K-car sized cars, electric motors, transparent side panels, they tried a little bit of everything.

A lot of people focused on the soldiers in the Chinese parade, but what was really impressive was the hardware they showed.
I think 1/3 of what was showed, the US army has no equivalent.
When the Chinese TV lady said that up next was the "Self-propelled Laser Cannon Brigade" i thought i had misheard her.

I have a very old PC ( 12 years ) and i mostly play old games from before Linux gaming was ever taken seriously as a prospect by anyone.
I am afraid the compatibility Americans who play newer games claim it exists now won't be representative of my experience, but again, i will give a solid try this time.

When support for WIN 10 ends this year i am taking a chance with SteamOS for gaming, already using Linux for everything else.
If Gaben's OS is still not ready i am giving WIN 11 a chance, but boy i am ready to never have to use anything Microsoft again.
