    @djsumdog @Humpleupagus This system is pretty borked because this was my first daily driver linux and I had no idea what I was doing (still kinda don't), so even if there was something, I probably want it paved over.

    I will export some app settings manually from the apps themselves and save them away to restore them later.

    Thanks for the advice with the hidden files.

    So when I reinstall my Linux it will wipe the drive the OS is on. That one also contains my home folder, so I have to back that up to an external SSD. I have two questions:

    1. Is there any other important thing I need to save or all all my app settings in /home?

    2. I have a separate physical drive that is also encrypted. I'm sure the installer will nor wipe that one, but can I just mount it again when the new OS is up an running? (It's encrypted).

    @nugger @EssentialUtinsil My company pretty much does anything not to use robot arms on the packaging lines. Not that we don't offer those, but they are all for some lower medium scale edge cases where they replace multiple machines. I seen one maybe once every few years, and never on any major project.

    For anything fast and reliable you want more machines making simpler movements whenever possible.

    Depends on the industry, of course.

    "ytdownloader" does the same on Linux. PipePipe allows you to rip YT directly on your Android phone.
