Has any variant had so stable and successful a run as JN.1 and its nominal proles (Ex: JN.1.1.1.1, JN.1.1.1.4, etc)? That it is popping those nominals shows that it is likely still evolutionarily unstable, but its kids just can't gain any traction. Of course, that's just a finger to the wind assessment, but it is starting to seem strange. We've seen variants conquer the globe, but never seen one hold the globe like this...

That's the problem, Biden is kicking ass--the asses of the downtrodden. Biden is funding the murder of non-combatants in Palestine and tricking people into repeatedly infecting themselves with SARS viruses by grossly and intentionally misrepresenting the consequences of infection. It wouldn't be possible for him to do this without people like this to carry his water for him.

Too many fail recognize bioterrorism when the see it. It's not all broken vials and poisoned water supplies. The warfare of slow contagions is driven by propaganda and disinformation: mis-educate the target while appealing to their baser natures. Do it right and the marks will have no one to blame but themselves when the consequences hit. It's hard to blame others for injuring you when you've been doing the same to others.

We should talk about holding the politicians and industrialists that propagated immunofabulist risk narratives accountable for their crimes. What they've done is not unlike a crossing guard waving pedestrians into onrushing traffic for kicks. We could process every one of them through a Nuremberg-style Human Rights Tribunal and nothing would be lost. Liberated assets could be applied to finding a cure for the life-shortening chronic infection nearly everyone now carries.

Actually, it's only somewhat like mine. I don't have a fancy lab and just have to assume the virus is still alive and kicking from all those pathology reports that say the virus is still alive and kicking, which is exactly what one would expect from a virus that so thoroughly disables MHC-I expression.

It's amazing how little contemporary immunologists understand basic Complement System/glycoconjugate interactions.

They have everything to fear from demagogue Trump and nothing to fear from pushover Biden. The more grievous the betrayal, the more Biden will simp for his betrayers. Expect Blue MAGA to support gutting labor, retirement, & consumer protections to *save democracy*℠. There's no way these derelicts save democracy without a time machine.

If you think of TV experts as stochastic parrots it makes more sense. They're just organic language models with deficient training corpuses. Or at least deficient when it comes to resolving illnesses--they're very good at establishing markets for products and services that do not reduce demand within that market.

@AnarchoNinaWrites hard to imagine anyone more toxic than Gaetz as Speaker. Not exactly sure what he's doing remaining seated after the venmos to the high school girls he 'dates', but I imagine that somebody somewhere made out handsomely on the transaction that purchased that absolution. Whatever was exchanged, it's obvious that Biden's DOJ had to sign off on it--consider any injury dealt by Gaetz unto Democrats self-inflicted.
