Has any variant had so stable and successful a run as JN.1 and its nominal proles (Ex: JN.1.1.1.1, JN.1.1.1.4, etc)? That it is popping those nominals shows that it is likely still evolutionarily unstable, but its kids just can't gain any traction. Of course, that's just a finger to the wind assessment, but it is starting to seem strange. We've seen variants conquer the globe, but never seen one hold the globe like this...
