It's tied to your account, unfortunately. They're probably collecting data on everything opened with a Kindle or indexed Kindle app--surveillance beyond mere purchases is what I'm trying to say.
Would this apply to older Kindles such as the Paper White (which I believe is what I have)? Or is this surveillance tech within the digital copies of books? Cuz if that's the case, I've got more PDF converted to MOBI (or MODI? I can't remember) files on my Kindle that I rarely ever have connected to the internet. I think I'm good for the most part?
