    @anemone @RustyCrab I can't specifically articulate what he said rn as I'm out on the prowl, but I think in his video with Linus tech tips "building a PC" video he talks a bit about it and it didn't seem that extreme on either side

    Kinda like it's a tool but it's not gunna replace everyone or whatever. I found it a bit too neutral, personally.

    It really seems like anything related to sustainability or environmental concerns is out of the question when it comes to anything related to tech, not just AI. Nobody seems to care about the exploitative labor being used to prop up the industry. No surprise considering what most the people benefitting from it come from

    Edit: I'm not aware of anything in terms of the kernel project sooo 👀 but it seems like fedi is overwhelmingly pro AI anyways, despite being a FOSS adjacent community

    On the actual software, I've just never tried Wayland or sway (are there other options?) because I didn't really know there were other options back then or my setups have been relatively minimal and just fine for me

    What would be the primary benefit of using Wayland over X11?

    I know what I need to do to get it setup on Void and install the pkg but realistically later down the line sudo should be phased out entirely to catch up with modern OS secu
