    I was a wee lad when the first iPad came out, everyone acted crazy over it.

    Sure, the first touch screen smart phone was pretty innovative and changed the game for normie computing forever, but after the first few releases it was obvious that every model was slightly tweaked with additional features the sheep would buy without hesitation.

    That was just for the iPhone. There was no iPad yet. So imagine my disbelief when Apple essentially re-releases the iPhone in a bigger format, and without a camera when the iPhones out at the time already had cameras.

    What the the sheep do? Immediately purchased the first iPad after the iPhone, then waited a year for the new iPad model to come with a camera before purchasing.

    I understand the novelty with some of their hardware like the M1s (I would personally love to get my hands on a 2015 MacBook), but the airpods and the last decade of design decisions has ensured that I will never purchase an Apple device in my lifetime.

    I want to re-vamp my entire setup from the hardware level, to the software level. I think a lot of people here have excellent taste, so I want to compile some data.

    What distro do you daily drive, and why? How long have you used it?

    What's your ideal desktop environment or customized setup? (dwm, kitty, etc.)?

    What 3 programming languages do you know very well, and which is your preferred tool?

    If you are a fan of mechanical keyboards, what switches do you use? What are your favorite mkbs?

    If you use SBCs, which one do you gravitate towards and why? (no raspis considered do to proprietary constraints)

    @Wrest I'm not trying to scare you bro but you need to get off the computer and talk to people. If you have friends go out and touch grass. Women are human too, it's not that serious.

    I think the reason for anxiety with talking to women typically boils down to a guy being weird and expecting something like sex to come out of it. That is weirdo behavior. I've had the displeasure of finding out guys I was friends with just wanted to fuck me and that every interaction with insincere. Don't be that guy.

    As you get older women will be able to sniff out your lack of sexual and relationship experience as a red flag as one or more of the following:

    1) that you have nothing going on for you which is why you're terminally online

    2) that you have unresolved childhood issues with women and girls

    3) that you're possibly a nonce

    The only exception to something like this is a guy in his 50s who is barely deciding to settle down because he's played around. That's different because guys like that typically have their shit together and (hopefully) are honest about their previous lifestyle and want to finally get a wifey.

    @icedquinn @Ree yeah that's just not being attentive or not caring because realistically it doesn't take long to respond to a text or check in with someone. If someone wants to prioritize games over their relationship it's a precursor for what's to come.

    I've heard of relationships/marriages getting ruined over games like WoW but I have also heard of people meeting and getting married through there.
