@bl00d@mayu@SuperDicq You'll have to do that constantly given those scrapers constantly change their user agents, IPs (also using residental ones etc) and so on. If it was this easy someone would've built a tool to automate it, however 1. it doesn't work reliably and 2. you'll end up hitting real users on the crossfire.
@SuperDicq@mayu Anubis is the nuclear answer to an apocalyptic situation. Without it many projects would already be dead, like ScummVM (they wrote about this whole mess, pointing out how Anubis saved their butts).
@kaia@lain If I swap them the tiny screw regularly falls off the screwdriver. Almost impossible to find them again. Bonus points when it falls into the PSU.
They're currently discussing logos and what can I say, I think this proposal is the best. It immediately shows everyone what kind of people those behind the project are. #X11Libre#Linux
Is it just me or are old (3D) games the most spooky ones? Not necessarily talking specifically about horror games, but the general vibe they try to achieve. Dunno, it feels like they're less bound to harsh "design rules" like new ones. Might just be nostalgia though. #gaming
Hahaha, I got blocked by the GrapheneOS Mastodon account. ๐ They apparently can't deal with something not being about them for a minute.
Must've done something correctly. Those people are so utterly unhinged - guess whoever got a list of "people and institutions accused of attacking GrapheneOS" can now add me to that noble circle as well.
@izzy@purple@NeonPurpleStar Don't forget their airplane engines. They also manufacture ridiculously powerful jet engines, so it makes sense they've experience with turbines and such in general.
@izzy@purple@NeonPurpleStar Ha, knew there was something. The A380 is (or rather can be) powered by 4 Rolls-Royce-Trent-970 engines with a combined thrust of about 1250 Kilonewton. I love the sound they make when powering up. Screw car engine sounds (those suck), *that* is true power. ๐ฅฐ
@rimu What's also seems nice is Julia. If I had to use some other language for high-performance, heavily multithreaded tasks (reason I kept looking at Rust, given Python isn't optimal for that) I'd probably learn that one.
Took a quick look at the Rust syntax again. Yeah no thanks, I'll definitely stick with Python for now. What a convoluted mess of special characters, so awful to read.
@stefano Btrfs indeed still does come with some shortcomings. I do wonder why it still became more popular than ZFS except for the sole reason ZFS isn't in the kernel by default due to licensing reasons.
@libreleah Isn't paper an appropriate shock absorber? ๐ค Most people don't have that much bubble wrap lying around to fill a whole box with a laptop in it, and you never know how much those boxes will be abused in shipping.
I once even used empty plastic bottles since they were squishy (which, in Germany, is even somewhat of a donation due to the "Pfand" system, lol).
