@Hoss I read a bit about that when I was learning more about the parieto principle.

@Hoss I think that a functioning family unit, actually good nutrition, and education that isn't mostly intended to sabotage the population is going to help buff whatever that ratio is.

Some of it will always remain, but I'd wager that there's a lot of misery out there that's unnecessary.

@Hoss A full accounting would need to be more granular than a single number. You've got to somehow account for the relative proportions of the different wealth levels.

Maybe there's some parieto principle effect as well as an assumed bell curve of some kind in how you break things down. What the distribution of wealthy to poor would be, to notice extreme swings.

Some dividing lines in wealth cause a sharp decline in life quality, too. Think "can/can't afford a real roof over their own head".

@PNS The world sure seems to be falling apart worse than usual lately.

@sickburnbro @WTFPurpleAlpaca I'm concerned regarding those who were in the west for a generation or two. They'll try to say they don't know the culture of their ethnic origin and want to stay in the warped and currently unsustainable western culture. They'll have to be told no, and I don't think they'll understand why.

Why do you think the vertically-organized tabs is such a rare feature in web browsers? Was it especially hard to make for vivaldi? (It was a big selling point for me.)

I am concerned at that. I could see a tip jar for some kind of content creator, but memes are often "stolen" and propagated through reposts.

I guess being a world-conquering culture that takes over foreign peoples gets tricky when you start looking at genetic lineages.

@Ghislaine From a very, very minimal amount of discussion, my understanding is that to get the dental benefits of fluoride, you can just do a topical treatment or a rinse once every couple of weeks.

Putting it in the drinking water is absurd.

@p The puritans are always the ones that are most likely to be guilty of whatever moral hazards they spend the most oxygen on. This is an old pattern, and applies in a general sense, too.

Excessive racial nepotism is one of the things that makes someone a bad actor in my view.

Especially the xenophilia caused by an entrenched power structure bringing in a foreign client population to serve over the founding population, which at least theoretically could represent a threat to the power of the rulers.

It's so tiresome to see the problems that are so obvious, but also know that too many people can't (or won't) understand it.

@WandererUber The question of how to deal with willful bad actors in what should be a high trust system is a hard one to deal with.

How would people distinguish between legitimate business decisions to limit resource use from willful deprivation and unnecessarily high costs that do not make for a better service?

I think that a lot of the assumptions a free market capitalist system makes are starting to break down with the ossification of a power structure.

@Goalkeeper Where does he stream these days? Or does he still make videos in the ten to thirty minute range?

@Shadowman311 Really? I though they had clear evidence of obvious wrongdoing. Why would they risk the integrity of their case by manipulating things like this?

@PNS I've heard it helps the brain in some ways and hurts it in other ways. Do you suppose that's mostly a factor when misused, or can it be basically modeled like alcohol, in that it's perfectly fine to use regularly in moderation as a recreational intoxicant?

Or maybe as a creativity aid for journaling or writing.
