@ryanc @stonebear2 I don't see it, I assume they don't either. I just see an "aww" reply to someone.

@killyourfm that UI is just... Chef's Kiss.

Did you set up unbound with it? Check that out on the pihole wiki if you didn't. It's easy to do and further removes you from potential fuckery.

@blindcoder @killyourfm it's probably something stupid too, like a cronjob to upload in-app telemetry.

But since we can't actually look at what it's doing...

@carnage4life "properly reward models that acknowledge when they don't know the answer"

Wouldn't that mean rewarding every output? /hides

@dalias I don't understand why they did it this way. The last time I saw words on it on bugzilla was something about the UI.

That this special page exists and works says otherwise.

@hipsterelectron @foolishowl @dalias @Ember I'll caution that it does seem to exist and it is apparently already proven to break things, but the key sizes it can work with are as-yet tiny (the example in thinking of was only a 50-bit key RSA)

The barrier is scale-up, and I think assuming that can't ever happen is dangerous.

Here's the report I'm thinking of. I don't speak or read Chinese so I can't read the paper for myself: https://www.livescience.com/technology/computing/chinese-scientists-claim-they-broke-rsa-encryption-with-a-quantum-computer-but-theres-a-catch

Here's the paper though, to save a click if someone wants to try to read it: http://cjc.ict.ac.cn/online/onlinepaper/wc-202458160402.pdf

@loadingartist fortunately there's lots of DRM-free offline indy games out there to be found and treasured.

#fediblock this one turns into a complete asshole about alt text (and it's in their profile bio too): @juglugs@mastodon.social

"I don't do Alt text - don't ask me to. If you want to do it for me, that's your prerogative. I don't print my posts in Braille either"

Quoted this to someone they were rude to and called it a shit take, got a rude remake back and a block.
