Watching a lot of toots now is like watching the break up of a personal relationship, people trying to move on but constantly obsessing about the past, unable to let go. When I arrived here I made a conscious decision to NOT replicate my experience on the other site.

Generally I will also not be engaging in boosting toots that refer or link to the other site. Don't turn Mastodon into your rebound relationship where all you do is talk about your ex. They rarely end well.

The thing that annoyed me the most with the 14 years of right wing dominance in the UK: full of idiots that genuinely think they are intelligent and smarter than everyone else. Arrogance and ignorance is one of the worst possible combinations.

When you combine Biden's participation in a genocide abroad, and now his clampdown on free speech at home, including backing physical, violent action against peaceful protestors who happen to disagree with him, i no longer see the difference between him and Trump.

Their motives and targets may be different, but what Biden is doing now is no better than anything Trump has threatened. The big difference, Biden is doing it NOW, in plain view.

If you are planning on trying to provide for your children's future, how about putting ensuring they have a habitable planet as your first priority.
