We might have to bring communes back for the old people like me.
Time tripping again.
The husband got a jury summons today. Fortunately, he doesn’t have to do it since he’s 72. TBH, I’d worry about him trying to find his way around in unfamiliar surroundings with his Alzheimer’s. Plus I would have to drive him there, since he doesn’t drive anymore.
Sock. I gave up on my Cookie A socks. I’m just not into her patterns. So I gave my book to the eldest who was delighted to have it and who has knitted Cookie A patterns before. It might be because she uses charts, which I can do, but I’m enjoying this pattern more where it’s all written out.

Yarn bomb instead.
Crocheted scarf.
And the circus moves to another town. 🤡
Crocheting placemats for younger daughter.
I’ve started reading this book and the concept of something always being here without a beginning is making my head explode.
@bmacDonald94 I had a feeling that he might have been from reading the book. I’m glad he overcame it. I’ve read that people have a need for religion and I’ve often wondered about it. I’ve wondered if it’s because it’s their way of explaining their universe and why there is evil and giving them a way to bear it.
@bmacDonald94 I did. I found it to be very relevant to what’s happening right now. Thank you for the recommendation.

I finally finished reading God is Not Great. It was interesting to me to read about the Rajneesh since I remember that cult. I remember the Rolls Royces and his daily rides while the followers stood on the side of the road. I remember Sheela who was involved in trying to poison people in a restaurant in the Dalles. All these people to do one man’s bidding, all their money going to him. What a parallel to today.
Silent Saturday
I decided to start my journal with this detailed drawing of me falling over the planter box.
The Universe was with me today. I found the backs to my plastic eyes. I’ve been looking for them for months. They were in the bag of yarn scraps that I’ve been using to crochet the mice. I have a notion to make 100 of them, but I’ll probably get tired of making them before that.
Crocheting some mice again because they’re fast and easy.
Silent Sunday
I finished this book and I really like it. I want to read the second one now. It’s YA, but I enjoy reading YA. The Hunger Games are YA and I enjoyed that series. This is the second Terry Pratchett book I’ve read and I wish I knew about him when I was younger, although he probably wasn’t an author then. 😶 I’ll lend it to the grandchildren to read, but then I WANT IT BACK!
Good news! I got my Social Security payment this month! I'm good for another month. Whew!
I'm a eclectic reader and love learning about everything. I'm naturally curious. I have an obsession with knitting and crochet and must knit and/or crochet everyday. I also love cooking. So most of my posts are about knitting, crochet and/or food. I try to follow a vegetarian diet, but I'm not always sucessful. However, I keep aiming in that direction. I also have a husband that is in early stages of Alzheimers and has Non-Hogdkins Lymphoma and I sometimes post about that. I'm mostly happy and have a weird sense of humor.
