Well, the gang of seven hilariously happy hens were dropped off at the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute this morning. My husband went with me and afterwards we stopped at the best coffee place in town, The Crema, located in the sky bridge, at the hospital complex. So now we're sipping iced carmel lattes for breakfast.

My friend, Peter, is good at self education. He taught himself Russian and is fluent in it. He taught himself electronics also. Whatever he is curious about and wants to learn...he learns through books on his own.

TIL...that my $5 Michael's voucher won't scan if my phone is in DARK mode. I had to change it back to LIGHT mode, because the barcode is black on white and when it's in dark mode..it's black on black. Thanks to the NICE LADY CASHIER who told me this and got my voucher to work. I went in to look at the UGE skein of yarn because I saw it on YouTube. But it was more than I wanted to spend even with the voucher and all the skeins are variegated and I'm into solid colors now. Even though I can get an entire sweater out of the UGE skein.. I got the pretty pink instead 💗.

Here's a hat for you.

I made Chasen's Chili again, but with Impossible ground beef, which is a plant based product. It is so good. I tried to scale back the hot spices so the husband wouldn't get hot flashes, but he still got up and turned on the fan. That always cracks me up. And now he's on his second bowl.

I had to cut some of the dahlia blooms because the blooms are so heavy that the plant was leaning way over. Our eldest gave us this dahlia many years ago. It lives in a garbage can. In fall I trim it way down and put the lid on the can for winter and it comes back every spring.

A wasp or bee was bothering the Lil guy today...its hard to tell if it was a bee or wasp, since some bees look like wasps.
