    @nyanide @waifu the thing with the mid 2010s is twofold: nobody knew just how much shittier things would get, and more importantly there was still "some" level of trust online even as it was rapidly disintegrating as the internet got more and more political.

    I'm still very split when people pretend to be your friend and then cut you off for no reason or treat you weirdly because something you did elsewhere or in the past made them feel weird or bad or something.
