I saw Ocean's Eleven. All you need is a van.

Very cool. Is it possible to live in the LA area and not know someone in film? I mean, you more than most, but my stepdad was a technical advisor for CSI: Las Vegas, and my mom was an extra in a film or two. Heck, the plane I used to work on was in the movie Speed for a fraction of a second. 😆

@lauren

Closest I've come is getting to ride the ET bike at Universal Studios.

So Trump "negotiated" a deal for Russian diesel. The first tanker carrying it will arrive in less than 24 hours. It has apparently been heading for the US since mid-September.

I wonder how all those rolling-coal diesel bros will feel about running communist diesel in their freedom trucks.

@CorioPsicologia

Where's @scream when you need them?

@WarnerCrocker

If you consider that Trump's primary purpose is to weaken the United States, he has been an unqualified success.

@skinnylatte

I hate to say it but this is one area I've found AI to be useful. I've used it to create images of characters and scenes from fantasy novels based on the author's text. What's weird is sometimes it corrects my... I don't know, can I say "image" of the character or scene with aphantasia? Like, oh, that's right. Other times there's a conflict that I can't quite express, maybe because I've latched onto some other character image I've seen somewhere.

@skinnylatte

... As this:

@skinnylatte

For instance, I could not stop imagining this character:

A monstrously muscled humanoid body... inherited its body from a Deepwalker Ape... Crusher’s fur was thick and shaggy, taken from the blood of a bear dreadbeast... The spines that rose from his back and the claws on his long fingers came from the diamond dragon... The wolf’s muzzle and tall, rabbit-like ears must come from the other, more common blood samples that were mixed into the spirit for balance and tempering.

...

@cwebber

Which... which one?

@fesshole

J'accuse!

Reduce, reuse, recycle! I do the same thing with my toilet paper.

Thanks!

Not the 4077th?

@fesshole

I must say, I am very disappointed that the Fediverse does not appear to have recognized this as a quote from Top Secret!

Die Sauerkraut ist in mein Lederhosen.

@fesshole

"I know a little German. He's sitting over there!"

@lackattack

Who... who said that?

@evan

The weirdest thing about this question is that it doesn't specify the season. I set mine at 67 or lower for heating in the winter, and 73 or higher for cooling in the summer. Although lately I've had to switch modes on the same day...
