Lol 1995 is "early adopter", via AOL, no less? Lol. Dial up to BBSes with newsgroups and IRC and those MUD type games were way fun.

AOL was kinda fun for a little while too, though. I got windows95 to brush up on stuff to do a better job as AOL tech support. We got basically no training and just a set of canned answers to give. That job was lame.

But I digress..

By 97, I quit that altogether and moved to the big city and met my wife. Switched to doing random odd jobs for awhile, seems fun in retrospect... Maybe I should try that again. Probably not.

But $100k is probably barely enough to get by there, no?

It rains a lot there. I'd have to fix all the deck leaks in this boat, for sure.

For new clients, I liked to normally exactly what they asked for and nothing else.

Forn-some reason I liked steady repeat business. But I was gouging small corporations and other business that had the money and needed my services.

It seems different when dealing with mereortals in their private homes. No wonder I am so loathe to hire for these home jobs and just do them all myself. Except for that time theain sewer line broke... I was happy to pay for our plumber to tackle that horror. Came out to significantly less than $1000, too.
