@tyler@BowsacNoodle ....I've lost count now how many distros I've checked out....
I always just come back to my 1st; Xubuntu. It just (mostly) works. Mostly..... (as I type this on my 'backup persistent live OS' running from my USB ext hdd while I wait on my new MB so I can use the new (PCI4.0) vidya card I got because my old one wouldn't play nice w/ 24.04, and I ordered the card w/o really checking the NEW mb I had bought, which only supports up to PCI3. Hahahahahaa... :kms:
@tyler I would have thought this guy would have at least been working with someone under him to kinda intern & take the reins so to speak when he was ready to step down.
Makes me sad I wasted so much time on trying to be a fucking musician & not having wormed my way into a more specialized area of IT. I'm more of a swiss army knife. Useful, but fuck man, I can't do hardware coding! (I'm 50, only cramming so much in this head now).
@ned@sickburnbro I would think in this case they're being applied as an 'evening' measure to counteract the ability of countries that have lax (or non-existent) safety, labor, and environmental laws to have to conform to.
Get rid of the onerous regulations??
Tough subject all around; you have to have some kind of regulations, but I think they could definitely stand to be dialed back a good bit.
@sickburnbro ....and that Muir guy is a complete condescending asshat. I can't stand him under normal circumstances, let alone in that format.
I could only take about 40 minutes of that shitshow & turned it the fuck off (I'm on the East coast, and needed to get to bed. That shit was spiking my BP yo).
@BowsacNoodle I routinely fuck up my guts w/ excessive amounts of hot sauces. Then I don't remember it the next day & wonder why I'm in such a foul mood.
