@tyler I would have thought this guy would have at least been working with someone under him to kinda intern & take the reins so to speak when he was ready to step down.
Makes me sad I wasted so much time on trying to be a fucking musician & not having wormed my way into a more specialized area of IT. I'm more of a swiss army knife. Useful, but fuck man, I can't do hardware coding! (I'm 50, only cramming so much in this head now).

Also openssl was also maintained by one guy.
All the guys are usually White men but the package maintainers themselves are tags and troons, not actually contributing anything. The developers have to do all the dpkg stuff, the "package maintainer" just has authority to include it in Debian

For example, I was partway done packaging ardopcf for dpkg but I looked up the guy that offered to put it in Debian and he's a giant fag, but it shows HIM as the package maintainer.
It's another useless nepotism ring. They all need to be hung.
