Question for people with a second language.

Can you *think* in that second language?

Is doing so ever a *useful* thing to do?

Let's say you are thinking through a problem in your mother tongue and you are stuck.

Would starting again in your second language be a way that you could possibly get unstuck?

Once a upon a time, I fell for the idea that there was "the excesses of the left" but I've changed my mind.

What are some of the most transparent organisations around? And what are some of the most successful organisations that operate with a high level of transparency?

@CedarTea I once talked to a marxist-leninst about this, and he argued that the structure can and should fight against the natural cliques, dishonesty etc. He stated that hierarchies form naturally and having official positions means adding transparency to these hierarchies, which is better for people that aren't able to navigate the web of invisible social rules that would arise in lieu of a formalised structure.

He linked to a paper that made these arguments in the context of the women's liberation movement that I'll link to you if I can find it.

I found this super interesting, is there anarchist theory on how to prevent the soft hierarchies from forming (cliques etc)?

@docpop I think you should have argued in a more principled way and not let them frame the conversation.

It can be very hard to find a job in the first place and not being able to find one doesn't make it okay for you to be deprived of support.
