    While you are not wrong, it obviates the point; far too many Boomers are far too concerned about "Getting Mine", even when their own children are suffering right in front of them. My own daughter is grown now and just finishing a degree in landscape architecture; I am there to help her whenever she needs it, because she is my child. I don't need any other reason.

    I normally just rinse, wipe out, and then wipe with lard or peanut oil. never had a problem. Every couple of months, oil/grease it good, and throw it in the top rack of the oven on low for 45 minutes. Good as new.

    There are four kinds of chili, only three of which should be recognized as chili. Texas chili (meat, and meat), Midwest Chili (meat, and beans), and Southwest Chili (meat, and hominy). The fourth kind is an abomination spawned in the frozen wastelands of my youth, where the natives curse their chili, and put elbow macaroni in it. I do not know what demon possessed them to do this, but it is a very real, existential threat to humanity.
