Yeah. There were plenty of absolutely wonderful moments in there that it gets its reputation from... but it definitely had filler.

No touching Davros's amazing monologue or the "Do I have the right?" scene, though.

Yeah, it's always interesting when the best and worst are in the same serial.

There are a fair number of them that could use a little shortening, too, as much as I miss the format in the modern era.

People don't tend to talk about the whole bit with the giant clam when talking about how great Genesis of the Daleks is, for example...

The only reason that Monty Python didn't also get erased as well, in fact, is that Terry Gilliam got wind they were going to erase them a few weeks before it was going to happen, and bought the tapes...

(And, of course, as a Doctor Who fan, try to watch the first and second Doctor, and you'll see just how many tapes they did wipe...)

How about if you go into settings, uncheck "Use recommended performance settings" and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available"?

Well, that's a NeXT logo on the cable, the icon on the port it's plugged into looks like a monitor, and it looks about the same size as an old mac monitor cable, so probably a monitor cable for a NeXT computer?

Some quick Mastodon tips:

If you are using the web interface:
Settings->Appearance->Web Interface has an advanced web interface which is pretty nice!
You also likely want cropping images *off* & there are other useful options in there.

The settings icon next to notifications is where you can turn the notification sounds off.

If you click on a hashtag, it's the same as searching for it, & any time you have a hashtag up, you can hit the + at the top to subscribe to it.

When attaching an image, make sure to hit edit, &add a description. Some people can't see the images, but can read them!

If you are on a phone, use a 3rd party Mastodon app, not the official one. Unless anything's changed, it's pretty much the worst one to use.

Remember the cw button if you want to put a warning on your post, say for nsfw content.

Mastodon isn't pushing things to you. Follow people, & put relevant hashtags in your posts, so people can find them!

You can block whole instances if you want to...
