@_elena Copilot is still beta and in testing so things can change. Differences come with GDPR its user rights (transparency, consent, the purpose limitation). Latest update introduces encryption for all data collected and several options to prevent copilot from gathering data.

But of course there is a smell of backdoors in the air and the wonderful opportunity to revisit your past activities without real-time access for all villains out there. MS did not good this year in terms of privacy.

@_elena in that age he probably has zero fucks left. And I can imagine it's a helpful feature to elderly people to not have to remember everything.

You could try to argue with what every one else is using to undermine privacy: child protection. Images for his grandchildren being captured, private conversation, etc. Not really being able to understand what happens with the data as it's closed source.

But it's a tough job to educate grownups.
