This can be good or very bad, but inherently it’s about individuals through hard work and effort accruing wealth for ‘themselves’. Beyond its purview is the health of society, unlike socialism which in theory is all about group dynamics and health, a different emphasis. 1/2

For profit medicine is a prime example of a breakdown in progress. Bankruptcy based on lost jobs. Social Security on the verge of collapse. Capitalism and incessant seeking of max profits for ‘self’ is the culprit. 2/2

@Impish4249 @paul @QasimRashid I’ve said often that Capitalism can only work if it is muzzled, that it’s excesses are capped, that the excess ‘profits’ are plowed back into society for health and stability. With the New Deal, the guard rails only held briefly, sliding backwards ever since.
The problem, we are selfish, not like minded, we take from others for personal advantage, easily corrupted and will allow Capitalism’s excesses to destroy us.

@paul @QasimRashid Nixon, a republican enacted for-profit medicine in the USA, 1970ish. Capitalism is the problem that includes a misconception that it serves the masses. It Does Not. it is cannibalistic because there are too many humans, who want max profits at the expense of others

@WarnerCrocker @noondlyt No rational court would say that overthrowing and undermining the results of an election was within official Duties or stealing classified documents as you leave office. However, I’m convinced with this broke bad court and Donny everything he does as the new position of POTUS Emperor, will be considered an official act. I am tempted to suggest actions Biden should take regarding seal team six, but I’ll stop with that. 🔥😡

I’m observing a consistent background drone on Mastodon attacking President Biden over US Gaza policy.
While I disagree with the USA’s complicity with Israel in Gaza, and have complained about it often in smaller forums, the consensus is:
Keep some level of perspective and pragmatism. Under no circumstance can you not vote for Biden and expect a better outcome for Gaza and Palestinians. You want to help them? YOU ARE NOT by enabling Trump as POTUS to team up with Netanyahu. 🔥🤔

@WarnerCrocker I was trying to illustrate the ideals that we usually would support in theory, like Democracy, until for some of us, that Democracy prevents us from getting something we want, like imposing our religious views on others or maintaining perceived white privileged. The latter is ironic when it is perceived by working class who are just scrapping by, that skin color should bestow privilege, while their choice of leadership herds them like sheep to be sheared. 🤔

@WarnerCrocker Equal opportunity, equality before the law, freedom of and from religion, freedom of speech without hate, civil rights, voting rights, affordable/universal medical, body autonomy, social safety nets, public education, a college education without being indebted for life, the ability to retire instead of working till you drop, the wealthy paying their fair share into the system, citizens before corporations, all BAD if I can’t impose my my personal will on you! 😳
