Perversely, if you quit condescending to the poor - and just give them money, they will spend it wisely. The poor work really hard. They are not lazy.

And - get this - you can make this even more efficient. Just pay them a living wage for the hard work they do, give them decent health care, the money flows through the system and the whole society prospers.
