@chilady2022 @Chronic-Yonic @WDI_USA @mk They hate the idea that women could ever have anything and not want them around, have to stick their noses and their other vile parts in everything. I have decided to try and completely separate myself from men, period. It's difficult, and I have to work with men and deal with men daily, but they are no longer welcome in my personal life. The only exception is my father, who is thankfully not some pornified zombie woman-hater. -

@mushroom_soup I LOVE Skyrim. Never got into the Witcher, not interested in playing male characters, especially when they have the capability of seducing female characters on screen lol -

@LadyMont @LaylaAlexandrovna I just read something the other day that talked about a teacher overhearing preteen boys discussing sex. One boy asks something like, “How do you know she likes it?” And the other says, “If she cries.” I honestly am terrified for women and girls, I don’t have the energy to have any empathy for the boys. They’re being made into monsters before our eyes, and the cycle of abuse and terror goes on. And on. -

Struggling finding connections with other women, unfortunately. I love this space, so thankful for it, and would like to build community here and elsewhere. I just don't really know where to go to have conversations and spend time with other women. I live in eastern Kentucky, and most of my friends are married with children. I've chosen to remain single (I would love to go full separatist) and am childless, and it often feels like friendship takes a backseat when women build families. My "politics" are another issue - not many open radical feminists in eastern Kentucky that I can find, and the friends I made in college are pretty libfem-y. I would say my only close friends are hours and miles and miles away, and there is a serious brain drain here. My region like so many others is suffering and women I meet are more focused on subsistence than anything else. I wanna get active in my community, but I'd also just like women who are more aligned with me to talk to. Have any of you found any luck meeting women for friendship on apps like Bumble? I've applied for an access code to OvarIt, but I'm stumped as where to make meaningful connections. I tried Discord but I'm 36 and those chats trend pretty young... -

@ArtistBristol I have seen so many women saying things like - "I don't condemn any violence perpetrated against an oppressing force..." and the implication there is that even rape is "okay." I don't know how we got to this point, that political ideologies trump basic humanity and excuse male violence towards women, whatever side. -

@FeartnTired @ArtistBristol @GrumpyOldNurse You absolutely can condemn both at the same time, and I wish more people were willing to say that. I think it says something about the need for radical feminism that a lot of "mainstream" and accepted feminists don't center women in how they few world events. It's like, well I'm a supporter of this issue first, like it's primary to their sex-based oppression, and any women on the other side are enemies, etc., and fair game. Feminism has been defanged, it's formless and purposeless, as it's expressed out loud in most spaces. It takes a backseat to whatever other consciousness (class, race, religion, etc) women espouse, because anything that focuses on women MUST take a backseat. I'm not saying that's not their right to focus on whatever they please, but to me it just speaks to the need for radfem discourse. And why it's so hard to have radfem consciousness raising.
